Upon Mount Zion

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession. - Obadiah 1:17

Hello Brethren,
I welcome you with joy to this period of personal jubilee prayer. It is indeed an exciting time for me because it shows how far the Lord has helped us in this project. God has a plan for Nigeria and I am glad that you and I are part of it.
During this period of personal jubilee, God is giving us (who have partnered with Him in this intercessory journey for Nigeria), the opportunity to proclaim our own jubilee and possess our possessions.

In Exodus 11:2, before the final plaque came upon the Egyptians, God commanded the Israelites to go to their Egyptian neighbors and ASK for jewels of silver and gold. What does that mean? They have served the Egyptians for years, but when it was time for them to be set free, God mandated the Egyptians to bless them and pay them for the years that they have served and been oppressed. What is that thing that has held you or your family bound for years? What is that thing that has oppressed you and your family for years? What is that debt that you feel you have been continually paying even though you have no idea how it was incurred? Well, I have a good news for you in the name of Jesus; it is your Jubilee and the Lord is not just going to set you free, He will command a blessing upon you as a compensation for your years of oppression. In other words, He will restore all your years that locusts and cankerworms have eaten.
God is not a debtor, He is always a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him  (Hebrew 11:6, Joshua 6:25, Proverbs 11:25). Therefore for all my jubilee partners, please come upon Mount Zion with me for the next two weeks, as we decree Jubilee upon our lives according to God's principle in Leviticus 25.

Prayer Points

1. According to His promise in Jeremiah 29:11, let us thank the Lord for His thoughts toward us; they are of peace and not of evil, to give us an expected end.

2. The year of jubilee is a special year when God's mercy particularly manifests. Let us pray for God's mercy upon every area of our lives, especially in the areas where we desperately need His intervention; pray that His mercy will prevail over every judgment that has been ruled against you, with or without your knowledge.

3. Jubilee means liberty. It is a season that God commands liberty and since it is a command from God, whatever is holding you captive has no other choice but to let you go (irrespective of what it is or how long it has been in control). Please pray authoritatively and announce to your oppressors and slave masters that it is your jubilee and therefore you receive your liberty from their hands in the name of Jesus.

4. In one of the verses that I quoted earlier (Joshua 6:25), God saved Rahab and her household because of the kindness that she showed to the Israelites. Likewise, God has made you the priest of your family. Because of our roots in Nigeria, almost every family (if not all) faces one or more generational battle, which do not usually allow life to run smoothly as it should. Would you be willing to stand in the gap for your family and decree jubilee for them in the name of Jesus? Announce to the enemies that God has commanded your family's jubilee and therefore you are walking away from everything that has held you bound.

5. "...The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge" (Ezk 18:2) How true is that proverb in some of our lives today? I'm talking about generational curses, that we are suffering from without even knowing how it all started! Well, in the year of jubilee, debts are forgiven and slaves are set free, it does not matter how much is left to be paid. Let us decree according to the law of Jubilee that we cancel every spiritual debt, that has been incurred by our parents and fore fathers. Let us reverse every curse and cancel all the effects permanently in our lives and our families in the name of Jesus.

6. "...And you shall return every man unto his possession, and you shall return every man unto his family".(Lev 25:10) Take a deep look at your life and your family and ask yourself if where you are right now is where God wants you to be. If your answer is no, then this is the season that you must return to your original possession. Whatever God has destined for you, decree in the name of Jesus that you are walking into it and that in this year of jubilee, you take hold of all your possession. Decree that henceforth, your life will begin to fulfill the scripture and glorify God.

7. The Israelites were compensated for their years of service in Egypt (Exodus 11:2), God did not allow them to go out empty-handed. Command God's blessing upon your life as divine restoration and compensation for all that you have suffered through the battles of life.

8. "And you shall hallow the fiftieth year..." (Lev.25:8). The year of jubilee is also a holy year unto the Lord, it should be a year of revival unto His children; a year when His consciousness envelopes us like never before. Please pray for revival in your life, ask for a special revelation of Jesus Christ (something about Him that is above and beyond what you have known in all your christian years) that will take you to a higher realm in your walk with Him.

9. Finally, pray that as God visits Nigeria (as a result of our intercession), He will remember you and your family for His glory!

10. Pray as you are led by the Holy Spirit.
