Jubilee Prayer - 2nd Month

Deliverance of the Nation

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. (Isaiah 49:24 & 25)

Hello Brethren,
Thanks for your participation in this jubilee prayer and I welcome you by His grace to the second month. Are you feeling pregnant already? If not, please pray that God will ignite your heart with the passion for this assignment.
This month, we will be dealing with a very serious issue that will lay the foundation for a true jubilee for Nigeria. If you have somebody who is of age as Nigeria and is not making progress or manifesting the necessary growth and development, you and I will definitely recommend deliverance. Likewise, I want to challenge you to look at Nigeria with concerned and spiritual eyes; after 49 years of independence, where are we? what have we accomplished and what do we have to show for the independence? The answers to these questions are the reason why we are praying this month.
A woman of God, during her visit to Nigeria received a revelation that the problem of corruption in Nigeria is not simply cultural, but the effect of a demonic principality. Underneath the ruler of corruption is the spirit of death and underneath death is an unclean spirit. It may interest you to know that this unclean spirit manifests in the natural according to its name and that is why most public places are littered wih trash.
Also, I read something about the name of the country on a website that really opened my eyes to the need for prayer. Nigeria was named by the wife of Lord Luggard. Unfortunately, this name is being rooted in the identity of a river that regularly receives demonic sacrifices and idol worshipping (River Niger). I believe this also calls for deliverance as we all know the importance of a name in the spiritual realm.
Please join me therefore as we pray the following prayer for the next one month.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Let us come against the strongman that is standing over Nigeria, let us bind him in the name of Jesus and command his authority over the nation to be destroyed.
2. Let us come against the spirits of lawlessness, wickedness, corruption, death and uncleanliness that rule over the nation, pull down their strongholds and render them powerless over the nation. Decree that this month as we pray, Nigeria will be set free completely from these bondages.
3. Let us pray that every problem that Nigeria has as a result of the name she bears, shall be consumed by the fire of the Holy Ghost. Also, let us decree that every demonic tie to rivers and the demonic world be broken in Jesus name.
4. Let us pray and break every curse of stagnancy, backwardness, slavery, shame and every other curse that exist in the land.
5. Let us pull down every altar raised to the devil in this country, by the power in the name of Jesus. (The altar of baal has to be pulled down before Nigeria can fulfil her destiny.)
6.When Jacob had an encounter with the Lord in Genesis 32, the first thing the angel asked him after the wrestling was his name. The Lord changed his name immediately and that was the beginning of his new life. Also, in Zechariah 3: 3 & 4, the Lord took away the filthy garment that was upon Joshua the high priest, rebuked his accuser and clothed him (Joshua) with a new garment. Nigeria needs a new name and a new identity both in the physical and spiritual realms. In the physical realm, Nigeria is known worldwide as "master of fraud" and this last December, we just added another one: "terrorist". In the spiritual realm, the problem is even deeper than what we see. Pray and ask God to change the name of this nation, change our garment and give us a new identity.
7."The situation of this city is pleasant, but the water is naught, and the ground barren" This was the situation that some men described to Elisha about their city in 2 Kings 2:19. This appears to be the situation of Nigeria today from my own point of view. When the resources of Nigeria (natural, human and even spiritual) are described to outsiders, they see no reason why Nigeria should not be among the most flourishing nations in the world. However, the reality is the exact opposite and a barren land. Let us ask God to look down upon us with mercy and HEAL OUR LAND. Decree that henceforth, sweetness, comfort and God's full blessing shall spring forth and replace every curse that has tormented the nation up until this day.
8. Praying the news: Finally, we all know what is going on presently in the nation. The whereabout of the president and the issues surrounding it; the political unrest and the religious riot in Jos. Let us pray that God will have His way and command His peace and His will upon these situations
